Building automation systems are computer-based control systems that automatically adjust the HVAC and lighting settings in your building based on occupancy schedules, natural lighting, temperature set points and other factors. These systems must be commissioned when installed or re-commissioned after major facility changes occur such as new construction, buildings additions, occupancy changes, or failed control sensors.

Drives for Motors And Pumps (VFDs)

With single-speed motors using more power than necessary, you can save electricity by switching to variable frequency/speed drives (VFD), to match motors speed with actual load requirements. According to ENERGY STAR®, energy costs are the second largest operating cost for K-12 schools, and colleges and universities spend nearly 80 percent of their energy dollars on lighting and HVAC. We can help you reduce your schools energy usage, allowing more resources to go toward educating the next generation.

Efficiency at the Head of its Class

Our program will help you find an expert contractor to assess your facility for energy-saving opportunities.

We also provide a Continuous Energy Improvement (CEI) Initiative to K-12 school districts. CEI is a process that helps schools reduce energy consumption through behavioral and operational changes. Each participating school will receive trainings and support to understand how the district uses energy and implement a structured energy program to reduce that consumption. Schools can likely see an average savings of 5-15% of their energy consumption. The results of the pilot program will be evaluated to confirm energy savings and participants will also receive support on rebate applications for capital upgrades. There is no investment or out-of-pocket cost to the schools for participation, which is limited.

Drives for Motors And Pumps (VFDs)

With single-speed motors using more power than necessary, you can save electricity by switching to variable frequency/speed drives (VFD), to match motors speed with actual load requirements. Let us help. We’ll provide a contractor database, expert assessment and cash rebates toward VFD purchases and installation.

To be eligible for a rebate, these energy-saving devices must be newly installed on (retrofitting of existing VFDs are not eligible):

Switching to energy-efficient food service equipment can reduce your facility’s energy consumption by up to two-thirds, according to ENERGY STAR®. We can help your business maximize those savings.
