Building Controls

Building automation systems are computer-based control systems that automatically adjust the HVAC and lighting settings in your building based on occupancy schedules, natural lighting, temperature set points and other factors. These systems must be commissioned when installed or re-commissioned after major facility changes occur such as new construction, buildings additions, occupancy changes, or failed control sensors.

We offer help assessing your building, a database of contractors and rebates towards building controls in a new facility or upgrading an existing system.

Benefits

  • Apply for rebates of $.05/kWh saved annually. Offset upfront costs and reduce payback time.
  • Lower operating costs. Building controls can help deliver energy savings each month by allowing you to automatically turn your HVAC, lighting and other electrical systems off and on, up or down when you need them.
  • Improved building environment.  Prepare building areas for occupants before they arrive, reducing any complaints and providing a comfortable and safe environment.
